With 4 main campuses across the West of Scotland West College Scotland are able to offer a varied range of course subjects. Each subject area have their own resources and facilities to make courses current, useful, and enjoyable. What alternative courses can I do?

West College Scotland is not just about studying full-time from Monday to Friday. As well as part-time or distance learning versions of courses we have some alternative means of study.

Evening Classes

At West College Scotland we offer an exciting programme of evening classes at our Finnart Campus in Greenock. These classes are run by our Enterprise Unit at different times during the year covering many subjects. These short courses cover a range of level from Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to leisure classes purely for fun.

Schools/College Partnership

As part of our Inverclyde Schools / College Partnership, we offer S3 - S6 school pupils the opportunity to study at College as part of their study options. More about our Schools Partnership and Vocational Programmes

Access to College & Training (ACT) Programme

Access to College & Training is a full time 18 week course run by West College Scotland to provide students with recognised SVQ qualifications and essential skills to move into further training or college.

Students enrolling on this course may be eligible for Bursary funding or an Education Maintenance Allowance.

This programme is open to anyone aged 16+ years old who interested in enrolling on a college course. All applicants will be interviewed prior to entry. On successful completion of this course students may be eligible to apply for other full-time courses at West College Scotland.

Start Dates/Duration

All courses commence 27 January 2014 and will run for 18 weeks.
