Finding Books

Use the online public access catalogue (OPAC) to find the details of the books you wish to borrow. In the search results look for the 'Dewey number' on the book record (e.g. N155.4). The books in all our libraries are arranged by these numbers, and then alphabetically by author's surname.

Borrowing Books

Members may borrow up to 6 books for a loan period of 3 weeks, with the execption of Short Loan items which are issued on a day-to-day basis.

Users may renew loan items, in person or by telephone, provided another borrower has not requested them.

Overdue or Damaged Books

Late returns will be charged at the rate of 10 pence per day for each normal loan item, and 20 pence per day for each Short Loan item.

If stock is lost or damaged, please notify library staff as soon as possible. You will be charged a portion of the cost of replacement.
