Inspection Report

Care Commission logo

The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care inspectors, known as Care Commission Officers (CCOs), check care services regularly to make sure that they are meeting the needs of the people in their care.

“One of the ways we check on services is to carry out inspections. We may turn up without telling the service's staff in advance. This is so we can see how good the care is on a normal day. We inspect some types of services more often than others.”

The Care Commission is now known as Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS)
