Schools Partnership

Summary: An introduction to Schools Partnership with James Watt College, subjects offered, and about Vocational Programmes.

As part of our Inverclyde and North Ayrshire Schools / College Partnership, we offer S3 - S6 school pupils the opportunity to study at College as part of their study options.

By offering pupils a different learning environment we can help them in their studies and help them experience life at college. We also have programmes available designed to increase Skills for Work (see below).

What is the difference from school?

The main difference between traditional Standard Grade subjects and our Vocational Programmes is how you will learn.

The major factor is that all learning takes place in a totally different environment to school and is assessed in a college context.

Vocational Programmes

James Watt College is currently offering S3/4 Pupils in Inverclyde area a series of Vocational Programmes to give students practical skills and knowledge in a diverse range of industries including engineering, sport and hairdressing.
