Our Student Support Centres provide information, advice and guidance to anyone
considering coming to college and offer a wide range of services to support students
during their studies.
Guidance & Support
For many people, coming to college can be a big
step that can have a considerable effect on their own
and their family’s lives. There can be important
decisions to make regarding career plans, course
choice and financial support for study.
Our friendly and helpful staff are available to
offer information and advice. From the time you
think about coming to college until you complete
your studies, we are available to offer a range of
services to support you.
Our services include:
Pre-entry Guidance
- Ask questions about the college
- Get unbiased, objective advice on the
suitability of courses
- Discuss careers in relation to courses
Induction
- Welcomes you to the college
- Explains the support services available
On-Course Guidance
- Receive ongoing advice regarding your studies
- Get advice on dealing with difficult matters
affecting your studies – finances, personal life,
etc
Pre-exit Guidance
- Obtain advice on job seeking: CV writing &
interview techniques
- Get information on further study topics
including UCAS university application forms
Support with Funding & Financial
Matters
- Receive advice and information
- Get help completing applications forms

Opening hours
The Student Support Centres are open between 8.50am and 4.50pm, Monday
to Friday and, at the North Ayrshire Campus only, until 9.00pm Tuesday & Thursday
during term time.
