The West coast of Scotland is an area of unrivalled natural beauty and heritage
and is home to all James Watt College campuses. From the scenic riverside beauty
of Inverclyde, with its maritime history and industrial past, to the picturesque
coastal towns of North Ayrshire, with their beaches and seaside atmospheres, each
of our campus locations has its own unique attractions.

- Inverclyde
Inverclyde is home to the college’s main
Finnart and
Waterfront campuses. Located on the River Clyde, both Greenock and the surrounding
area of Inverclyde offer an extensive range of attractions and amenities.
- North
Ayrshire
North Ayrshire is home to the college’s state-of-the-art
North Ayrshire Campus, based in Kilwinning. The district, looking out over
the Firth of Clyde in the West Central Lowlands, has many interesting and historic
towns and villages and, making the most of its stunning coastal scenery, is renowned
for its tourist industry.
- Largs
Largs is home to our
Scottish School of Sport, Exercise and Outdoor Studies and is one of the
best known of all of Ayrshire’s towns, with a reputation for its coastal scenery
and beautiful surroundings.
Each of our individual campus locations has the added advantage of being a few
short train rides from the busy city of Glasgow.
