Our courses in Sport, Exercise & Outdoor Studies combine practical skills with theory, giving you the opportunity to gain a sound understanding of this physically demanding subject area.
All courses are delivered at the Scottish School of Sport, Exercise & Outdoor Studies – located in the grounds of the sportscotland National Centre, Inverclyde in Largs. This facility, together with the National Training Centre in Cumbrae, gives students access to some of the best sporting facilities in Scotland.
Qualifications are aimed at students who want to learn valuable skills in the areas of coaching & training, sports development and fitness assessing, allowing them to enter various careers in the sport and leisure industries.
We also offer Applied Sport & Exercise Science courses, which combine the disciplines of psychology, nutrition, biomechanics and physiology to give an understanding of actual human performance during sport and exercise.
